Stephanie Crysler
Associate Attorney
Stephanie Crysler is a compassionate and determined advocate whose practice focuses on family law matters including divorce, custody and support, guardianships, and adoption. Known for her sharp advocacy and practical problem-solving, Stephanie brings both legal skill and emotional intelligence to her work—qualities shaped by her roots in the Syracuse community.

Background
Born and raised in Syracuse, Stephanie is a proud graduate of Marcellus High School. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Ithaca College, where she served as president of the American Red Cross Club and led several community service initiatives. Her drive to create meaningful change led her to pursue a law degree from the State University of New York at Buffalo.
While at UB Law, Stephanie refined her legal skills as a student attorney in the Family Violence and Women’s Rights Clinic, representing clients in family court proceedings. She was also a strong presence in the law school’s advocacy programs, competing in the Charles S. Desmond Moot Court competition and multiple national trial team competitions in Texas.
Stephanie began her legal career at a prominent Buffalo-based law firm, where she represented physicians, hospitals, and healthcare institutions in medical malpractice litigation. She also gained valuable prosecutorial experience at the Erie and Tompkins County District Attorney’s Offices. In May 2020, she joined Westfall Law, where she now focuses her practice on family law. She also supports clients in civil and estate litigation matters.
Leadership & Community Involvement
She serves on the Attorney for the Children panel, representing minors in legal proceedings, and is co-chair of the Matrimonial and Family Law section of the Onondaga County Bar Association. She’s an active member of both the OCBA and the New York State Bar Association, and a proud member of the Collaborative Law Group of Central New York.
Outside the Office
Outside of her legal career, Stephanie enjoys traveling and exploring new places. She finds joy in spending time with her family and friends. Growing up with four brothers, she developed a resilient spirit and a sharp sense of humor—qualities that serve her well in both her personal and professional life. Her loyal dog, Moose, and her supportive husband, Jeff, round out the loving circle that keeps her grounded and motivated.
