John Pfannenbecker is a seasoned advisor with over twenty-five years of experience in law and business.  His extensive background and hands-on work ethic allows him to relate to clients, understand their issues and find practical solutions that accomplish their goals.  John is communicative and collegial, but also a tough legal bodyguard during times of crisis and uncertainty.

Background

John is originally from New Haven, Connecticut, having lived and worked in various areas of the state before relocating to the Virgin Islands. John earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science from University of Rochester and obtained his joint JD/MBA degree from Quinnipiac University Schools of Law and Business.  In addition to working for ten years with private law firms in Connecticut and the Virgin Islands, including his own firm, John spent 15 years with SUBWAY® Headquarters rising to the position of Deputy General Counsel, advising the world’s largest franchising company as well as the founder himself. It is these experiences that enable John to embrace the entrepreneurial mindset of business owners of all sizes.

John is admitted to practice in Connecticut, the U.S. District Court of Connecticut and is awaiting admission to the U.S. Virgin Islands. His experiences in both the corporate and private legal settings have enabled John to accomplish the following:

While John enjoys consulting and advising people and businesses, he also devotes time to serving his community by volunteering as the Chairman of the Advisory Board for St. Croix Post of The Salvation Army and as President of the Alumni Board for the University of Rochester Chapter of the Sigma Chi fraternity.  He also serves as an adjunct faculty member teaching Franchise Law for Quinnipiac University Law School.  John is also an avid sports fan having played collegiate level football and enjoys the waters as an avid boater and fisherman, maintaining memberships at the City Point and St. Croix Yacht Clubs in New Haven, CT and St. Croix, VI respectively.  His other true passion is cooking multiregional cuisines for the enjoyment of friends and family.
